Box Bar Vineyard, CO
Box Bar Vineyard is nestled on a 13-acre plot on the slopes of Sleeping Ute Mountain and 100 yards above Yucca House National Monument.
At 6,000 ft elevation, it is one of Colorado’s highest vineyard sites currently planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Albariño, Syrah, Charbono and Riesling.

A Deep History
- The vineyard is a place steeped in history and deep connection to the land.
- It is estimated to be the site of a thriving community of over 18,000 Puebloan people.

- The ground is speckled with ancient Anasazi pottery shards.
- The rows are planted over a kiva, a sacred dug-out meeting place used by indigenous peoples of the region.
